West Garfield Park residents are expected to live on average until 67 years old, compared to Loop residents living to age 87. This is widest death gap in Chicago and the biggest gap of any big U.S. city, the most recent data shows.

A troubling number of people believe the police "are on our side" because they have largely followed the law and orders they've been given about not helping ICE. The police will never be "on our side." Sometimes, they're just reined in.
