In all of 2024 Pittsburgh didn’t lose a single teenager (age 13-17) to gun violence. Truly a remarkable bit of work that is largely under reported in conversations around public safety in the city.

Families will die without LIHEAP.
And for those who are curious ( @costasamaras.com? @coachfinstock.bsky.social? @enjohnston.bsky.social? @brunojnavarro.bsky.social?): the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program is being eliminated in this draft HHS budget. So I guess this language/script I just published is at least timely.

Everybody knows there’s a world of difference between a local small business owner and a billionaire who's given hundreds of thousands of dollars to elect Trump.

Only one candidate in this race attended a private event with Trump operatives at the Duquesne Club…Corey O'Connor.

Kidnapping an activist and jailing him in the middle of the night is a brazen act of authoritarianism.

Punishing dissent by revoking legal status is a dangerous precedent to set.
NEWS: Last night, the Department of Homeland Security detained a Palestinian who helped lead the Columbia encampment.

Agents told him his visa was revoked. He said he had a green card. They were confused—then said that was revoked too.

His attorney demanded a warrant. Agents hung up instead.

Thinking about how I was cornered and berated by 3 men in suits (one was a former State House Rep!) at a polling place because I supported an independent for County Council even though I’m on the Dem Committee.

We are building a city where you can thrive in every neighborhood. We built thousands of affordable housing units and delivered $600 million for downtown

I see how people from all across this city are coming together to make a difference and build the Pittsburgh we deserve (2/3)

I've taken on big fights against greedy corporations, union busters, gentrifiers, + so-called charities to make our city safe and affordable.

Excited to be on BlueSky to share more

So deeply disappointed by the blatant misinformation and racist dog whistles in this recent mayoral primary poll. We have two candidates with more than a decade each of experience in local politics. Surely that's enough to focus on their own records of getting things done for the people of Pgh.
