"No amount of him walking it back undoes that the President of the United States called for the death of six members of Congress," says @houlahan.house.gov. "The result is that his minions, his supporters, are responding and intimidating all of us in the way that they uniquely can." #Velshi
Rep. Houlahan: “The President of the United States called for the death of six members of Congress."
President Trump called for the execution of six Democratic lawmakers, after they released a video urging U.S. military service members to “refuse illegal orders.” Rep. Chrissy Houlahan, who grew up in a military family, says her father taught her that unlawful orders must always be questioned. Trump’s unhinged reaction is “exactly the reason why, frankly, many of us put out this video.”

Imagine having to go to work everyday and face the biggest bully in the country. Kudos to those members of the White House press corps courageous enough to ask the tough questions.

a very good and important response from @slotkin.senate.gov and company in response to Trump's threats. You absolutely cannot allow a would-be authoritarian to know that the surest way to make his opponents back down is to threaten them with violence.

One of Trump's most consistent positions is that intimidation or actively inflicting violence on his opponents is good. This isn't new, and it sure doesn't look like he's likely to change his tune any time soon. And that means you have to do *more* of this confrontation to delegitimize him.

I remember this guy. He was the one on TV two months ago claiming Dems have a culture of condoning violence.
