Making ghee is easy, and even easier since I ditched the gas range for induction. Now I have no problem maintaining a consistently low temp, without needing to hover over it. #foodsky 🍽️ 🍜

Pear and blueberry upside down cake. Baked in a cast iron skillet. I am a one-armed cook, so trusted my husband to do The Big Flip, which he executed perfectly! 🍽️ 🍜 #foodsky

Flavour bombs and compound butter destined for the freezer. Looking forward to a reminder of summer for upcoming winter cooking. Nasturtium, jalapeño, birdseye chilli, a head of garlic, a good sized hand of very young ginger, ground pistachio nuts and generous glugs of olive oil.

Our neighbour J. is scheduled for surgery on Friday, but she has the sniffles and is afraid her appointment will be cancelled. Chicken noodle soup to the rescue!

Pink, green and crunchy. Salad of quick pickled red onions, radicchio, pomelo, thinly sliced cucumber and poblano pepper, cilantro and black sesame seeds, all tossed in a light dressing of sesame oil, soy, ACV and a bit of sugar. 🍽️
