1/4 I have an idea for a low-risk visibility event. April 18 2025 is the 250th anniversary of "Midnight Ride" to warn the militias of Lexington and Concord to prepare for the arrival of British troops on April 19. The battles of Lexington and Concord marked the beginning of the American Revolution.
Anyone else notice that "good man" Mike Waltz is getting a verbal pass and Pete Hegseth is getting, well, silence?

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

I find it, hm, strange, that Denmark, Finland and now also we here in Germany have received a request to deliver eggs to the US. Even if we put aside Greenland for a moment, DT will only slap another tariff on our eggs and they will probably be as expensive. Logic eludes me 😊

Wondering about the #eggprices? Check this article out.
BTW, according to the #Ohio #Poultry Board, "Ohio is ranked No. 2 in the nation for egg production, with more than 10 billion eggs produced each year." NOW think about those egg prices. . . .
This is why Canada has plenty of eggs — and the U.S. doesn't
While the U.S. grapples with an egg shortage caused by avian flu, eggs remain plentiful and affordable in Canada. There are reasons for that, including that egg farms there tend to be smaller.

4/4 REMEMBER: the good guys in the Revolutionary War did NOT wear red. The "Redhats" are the 21st century "Redcoats." The Americans who could afford uniforms wore blue 💙

3/4 What if we get people to display 1 lantern or light in their windows the night of April 18? Blue would be awesome. We know the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence is going to be hijacked in DC. Let's figure out ways to not cede that holiday.

2/4 Ohio's county commissioners are advertising a "Two Lights for Tomorrow" commemoration and encouraging county courthouse in Ohio to display 2 lanterns (my conservative cousin shared the FB post). Here's the thing: they're NOT coming by sea. They're coming by land and they're already here.
