1/4 I have an idea for a low-risk visibility event. April 18 2025 is the 250th anniversary of "Midnight Ride" to warn the militias of Lexington and Concord to prepare for the arrival of British troops on April 19. The battles of Lexington and Concord marked the beginning of the American Revolution.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.

I find it, hm, strange, that Denmark, Finland and now also we here in Germany have received a request to deliver eggs to the US. Even if we put aside Greenland for a moment, DT will only slap another tariff on our eggs and they will probably be as expensive. Logic eludes me 😊

3/4 What if we get people to display 1 lantern or light in their windows the night of April 18? Blue would be awesome. We know the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence is going to be hijacked in DC. Let's figure out ways to not cede that holiday.
