I'm haunted by a Q&A w/ Jim Jarmusch in which a dude "asked" a rambling anecdote involving a ton of personal details wrt his struggle to get a film made & that film's subject. J.J. gave a polite but pro forma response about perseverance only to have the person follow up with more details.

There's an interview with him in the AV Club where he comes off as pretty left wing when the interviewer asks him abut Starship Troopers.

I happened to rewatch Playtime yesterday and was struck again that it is one of the best things a human being has ever created.

I once won a contest sponsored by a cheese shop by correctly predicting that it would win Best in Show at the American Cheese Society's annual competition. The extra-aged version is especially great.

One of the greatest of all cheeses, imo.
