Successful day of data collection on Slapton Sands ⛱️ My group spend the whole day collected rock samples and beach profiles on the bar 🪨 After walking nearly 13km, they found the energy to write up parts of their NEA methodology before dinner 👏

Final day of Bristol Harbourside regeneration fieldwork with Year 11s ⚓ The weather was still cold but the rain did not return so students were able to interview far more people today ❄️ Anyone else agree that Mr Helliwell should win the award for the best dressed geography teacher in town? 🏆

This week has been a struggle 😴 Recovering from the Doynton Hard Half Marathon whilst fighting a cold meant I felt completely broken at the beginning of the week and I have struggled to reach my usual levels of energy ⚡️ Thankfully, sunrises like this and coffee helped to motivate me 🌅

Students always struggle to explain the formation of physical landforms so today I asked my Year 10s to recreate 3D models of waterfalls using Angel Cakes 👼 The aim was for them to see how erosion causes the waterfall to retreat over time thus creating a gorge in the process 🏞️

Tonight, France takes on Wales in Paris for the opening game of this year's Six Nations championship 🏟️ Last year, I went to Cardiff with my dad to see the reverse fixture & we battered Wales so I am very much hoping for a similar outcome 🇫🇷😉🏉

Did you know France used to be in the centre of the world? 🤔 300 million years ago, there used to only be one continent in the world called Pangea 🌎 It was C-shaped and surrounded by the superocean Panthalassa 🌊
