that he has won a Pulitzer Prize, and all the Black culture symbolism in his performance. Now I can say I love the performance. And I downloaded several tracks today.

But watching the performance I could feel that it was loaded with symbolism and messaging. Instead of saying “I don’t like rap”, I researched and learned about East Coast vs West Coast, diss tracks, Kendrick’s childhood (straight A student),

I spent a good part of yesterday EDUCATING myself about Kendrick Lamar and his music and his message. I learned about the symbolism in the performance and how it relates to Black culture and the Black experience in America. I’ve not typically been a fan of rap music, so I was very ignorant. 2/4
