She/her. Sheffielder. Married to Jamie (in my head). Here mostly for #DoctorWho but might stray to other topics from time to time.

I’m not sure Is call it filler, but I’m not sure it was a “special” to me either, other than really giving David and Catherine time to shine and be celebrated just for them.

When Donna was ‘translating’ the countdown I thought that if it had been in the Chibnall era that would’ve been slated as exposition.

I do firmly believe that if this episode had gone out with Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill as The Doctor and Yaz during 2022, the internet would be on FIRE right now from the deluge of people slagging it off.

It just felt so pedestrian and predictable. Nothing "special" worthy. Filler material. :(

It's no coincidence that these franchises are all now made *by* fans, making fandom moves.

It does make me worry that we're sealing up the gaps, playing every beat. Where's the subversive reading now, how is it even possible?

The op says it’s the only photo without a person - there’s another, bottom left, at Brighton Palace Pier (?) - interesting to see what relevant events could happen there? 🤔🧐

I had a lot of fun with the ep last night but the vibes of “we got the band back together” worries me so much that only THIS version of Who is becoming the “good” one (as per accepted wisdom). That doesn’t bode well for a show that - imo - has its strength in new ideas
