With the end of the shutdown, SNAP is fully funded, and the two lawsuits are now moot.
Important note. USDA also says they will not pursue penalties against States that paid out "unauthorized" full SNAP benefits relying on a court TRO.

The government says they are trying to comply with the previous TRO by partially paying SNAP benefits but they have encountered procedural difficulties that will "take anywhere from a few weeks to several months" to be disbursed. (p. 12)

Judge Kelly has extended the TRO until Tuesday evening, meaning the govt. cannot remove them for now.
Probably will see a decision on the preliminary injunction Monday or Tuesday.

This is Lorelai. We got her from a shelter in Mississippi a little more than 6 years ago. She was picked up by animal control when she was about 5-7 months old. She grew up on the streets.
Those days are long gone. She spends her time at home eating great food and going on adventures!

I could be wrong, but I believe that all of the AEA habeas petitions for people detained at Bluebonnet will be reviewed by Judge Hendrix.

Unfortunately, ridiculous assertions of irreparable harm occasionally works for them.
Just today, the Supreme Court granted a stay in the U.S. v. Shilling (Transgender Service member) case even though the government could not show any legitimate harm, let alone irreparable harm.

They imply that the challenged laws obstruct the government’s ability to enforce immigration laws. Though, as I understand it, no federal law requires states officers to assist federal officers with immigration enforcement.

Interestingly, Denver Municipal Code § 28-250 specifically references 8 U.S.C. § 1373, requiring city agencies and officers to comply with federal law.

However, many of the challenged statutes have an exception to disseminating information “as required by state or federal law” and I did not find any allegations in the complaint that Colorado or Denver has not complied with § 1373.
