Insert my traditional King of Limbs Live From The Basement> King of Limbs original text. I have an audio rip that I will always reach to first.

3D country was my album of the year two years ago. The new one will be in my top 5. Musically, I love that kinetic and shambolic nature of a lot of their music. Cameron Winter has a none conventional voice that is both distinctive and chameleon. They utilize harmony to stabilize a lot of the chaos.

I can’t wait to see this. He really in so many ways embodies what it means to be a Canadian. He is truly beloved.

I’m not crossing an American border for a long time and can’t get off work ever for Mexico, so I feel you. I really do.

I met Steve McNiven last weekend and told him how much I was enjoying that series. The punisher stuff is particularly off the rails. It’s great.

Came here to say the same. So many people I respect love them, they apparently are important to the canon, can’t abide a minute of it.

All while checking how much plane tickets to Coperhagen for Radiohead on my birthday would cost.

Final Thoughts
- pretty damn good for an all live off the floor record
- Now that almost all live songs on canonized, get off the road for 6 months, go study some new styles and improv modes, learn to get weird and take over the jamband universe

- Great version of Empress
- I love the solo in Jeb Stone
- Rockdale, nice to have on wax
- But what a powerhouse Factory Fiction is to close, so BIG! Glad we got that in Toronto

- This is the best version of Turbulance - it may never be this good live -
- On the opposite end, Echo of a Rose lacks the depth of its live counterpart
- Mr Action and Dr Darkness continue to underwhelm with a slight leg up for Mr Action here

I got to meet all the band members but Fishman the night before in what remains a top Phish story to this day. 25 years ago. Bananas.

I agree. In its intent and in creation, it’s pure Trey love and light. But if I’m in America right now (which I refuse to be based on the political realities) and I’m in a crowd of largely left leaning individuals, I think singing Rise Up! could invoke a deeper meaning despite lyrical intent. ✊

Putting aside the fact this song doesn’t appeal to me on a songwriting level, I think the boys apolitical leanings on stage might see this one buried. I would be fascinated to see ,if played ,if it would invoke a sincere emotional reaction from the crowd.

You are going to be very happy with the big tent jams of summer 25 I predict if those are your thang.
