#MathsToday in y7 we were working on the concept of metric conversions. In a group with a lot of extra needs we established that 70mm, 7cm and 0.7m are different ways of saying the same amount. Just like I am called Mrs Smith at school, my first name with friends and my nickname with family. All me.

After my year 7 lesson yesterday I have decided to get to a shop this weekend to buy some of the cheaper scientific calculators to help the students who have been (in my opinion) “mis-sold” cheap “scientific” calculators. I had to put this on the board. #MathsToday #Edusky

I went shopping today (new shoes and some new shirts) and the people in Crew said that they have had loads of teachers in the last few days worried about leaving it to the last minute!

Whilst I’m really pleased our new ikea furniture is coming - having to be up and ready at 7am in the middle of the school holidays feels like cruel and unusual punishment!
