I think you have captured something that I’ve been trying to put into words. The current administration is at war with the very *idea* of the United States. How else to explain their destruction of every good thing this country has to offer.

I’m old enough to remember when Blackstone’s Ratio (It is better that ten guilty persons escape than that one innocent suffer) was actually a thing. I can hardly believe what I’m seeing.

I remember my dad using that expression, “handsome woman” when I was a kid. It took me a while to get what he meant. It’s a very useful descriptor. I’m 69 now and when I use it my wife and daughter look at me funny.
