I wonder why we haven't started wiring houses for 5v or 12v DC(or both?) in addition to 120. then we can go solar panel -> battery -> without stepping it up to 120V AC and back to DC at each light

Well, if they join some kind of axis with Russia's dependence on their drones, you might get your wish. Though I'm unconvinced that Putin wouldn't nuke everyone just because.

Not unpopular. People make them way too complicated. Some Swiss and cheddar, some salami and some kind of heartier sausage like summer sausage and some crackers on the side

Just different, not better or worse. I think I prefer the discord UI but a lot of people outside the US (Asia)have trouble with discord

I've had all manner of discussion in whatsapp. I don't find it to have the banter of a discord chat, more like a group text.
