This has Praetorian Guard vibes for me.
WATCH: @repmoskowitz.bsky.social calls out the astounding nearly $1 BILLION (!!) for ICE employees in bonuses alone in the Republican budget.

Masked anti-constitutional vigilantism pays well these days. 🇺🇸

I wish I could reply to this.. because I want to know what you like about it. My company is clamouring for it, and we're giving it to who wants it, but as a developer turned Ops guy, I want to know what you love about it. I want to understand.

Built myself a 9950x with a 5070Ti. I'm honestly a little afraid to turn the thing on 🤣

MAC dotnet developers. I just had the most frustrating 2 hours. I kept getting a warning that Rider could not debug my application from Apple security. The solution I found was installing dotnet from microsoft as opposed to letting Rider do it. Posting this in the hopes it helps someone else.

Your sword's grown old and rusty
Burnt beneath the rising sun
It's locked up like a trophy
Forgetting all the things it's done
And though it's been a long time
You're right back where you started from
I see it in your eyes
That now you're giving up the gun 🎶

Riffing on this a bit, The Carolinas should be something else, since they are Latin - named for Carol, the latin form of Charles. There's a dozen native american names for the area, including Croatoan, Waccamaw, Waxhaw, Cheraw, etc.
The part that kills me is there was a "Gulf of Mexico" long before there was a Mexico - at least any country called that. If we're going to go through and change all the names that aren't American, we should probably start with America itself since it's named for Amerigo Vespucci, an Italian.

Anyone have an automated way to let me know when someone that I followed on X comes over to The Good Place?

I've forgotten to post about one of my achievements. As a diabetic, your A1c is the "how are we doing?" Score. With a renewed focus on exercise, I joined Orange Theory, and started taking Mounjaro, I got my A1c from 8.2 - fairly high, to 5.0, well into normal, in 8 months.

I got an Elgato Stream Deck, and windows and mac computers. The Stream Deck is a cool little device, and works on my personal Windows computer and my personal Mac. However, my work Mac will display, but won't respond to any button presses. 1/2

So, I'm cleaning up my day 1 solution for #AdventofCode - you can gitignore your data folder and then add it to its own repo. I'm not sure it's advisable, but now my repo only has my solution and a path to my data file, that cannot be seen in the repo.

I'm going to build something in public until it works or until I lose interest. My family has started playing Monopoly again. Is Monopoly completely random, or do strategies change the outcomes? Let's find out.
