Why do video games cost so much to make these days? A recent NYT article pinned bloated budgets on the graphical arms race, but that's only a small part of the equation. The real problem? Rampant mismanagement.

But that's the wild part, no pun intended. It's not the PC port that is underperforming, but the console versions, which run fine.

It's because Marvel got smart. Instead of selling a blanket license to a single publisher, like they did with Activision back in the day, they opened up a specific gaming licensing office with a streamlined pitching process, for studios and publishers to approach THEM with ideas.

It is on PC currently, and the World Stage patch is a free update for that.
You can't upgrade from the PS4 Ultimate Showdown version to the PS5 World Stage version, but if you already own it, you get a discount on the new version.

You could try out VF5 R.E.V.O. when it hits consoles on the 31th October. They're adding crossplay and single player content, so there will be a lot of interest. It's cheap, goes on decent sales often, and has a million resources out there to help you learn it.
