I've been chewing over 'The Expressionist Game Manifesto' by jay Dragon a bit and I think I really get stuck here. The first part seems like a good and worthy goal, but the second part I kind of take issue with for a couple of reasons.

Hated that post the first time it came up and my experience running games that leave handling stealth specifically to The Conversation since has fully borne this out. The Conversation is horrible at resolving "does this guy see someone trying to hide from them" in a satisfying way.
