i do, however, like the grandeur of the turn based battles. i have a beautiful Pearl memory of beating a stronger opponent with the one-two punch of my Staraptor's Endeavor then Quick Attack. Nothing in Legends: Arceus came close to matching that.

i think people like me who play to "catch 'em all" end up not engaging with the play calling of pokemon as all the exploration required to collect leads to an overpowered team where there is not a strategic move but a best move for any given biome so the streamlined battles are appreciated
