I've been doing a lot of doodling lately, practicing the Greek and Shavian (𐑖𐑱𐑝𐑾𐑯) alphabets, memorizing old ways of time-keeping, trying out Kaktovik numerals, and attempting to draw the continental U.S. from memory.

I really want to be understood; but the older I get, the more important it is to me to understand others instead. I reworded the Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi (Prayer for Peace) to include non-Christians too. I made a Shavian version because it's where my head goes when things are unsettled.
Two small printouts pinned one above the other on a bulletin board. The top is titled "Make Peace" and a version of the Prayer of Saint Francis. The lower printout is the same but in Shavian script. Make Peace Deliver your own peace. Where there is hatred, allow love. Where there is injury, forgive. Where there is doubt, be optimistic. Where there is despair, share hope. Where there is darkness, be the light. Where there is sadness, bring joy. Do not just seek to be comforted but to comfort others, not to be understood but to understand, not to be loved but to love.
