The NYT will likely change its process once the admin invades Poland.

This is admittedly niche, but as an S-Corp owner, just let me deduct my premiums!
November 11, 2025 at 1:36 AM
I wonder if the Senator takes the same approach with Bovino in Chicago.
November 10, 2025 at 6:52 PM
Listen buddy, all I want to know is what my out the door monthly payment is.

If a mob broke into my workplace and a number of them were vocal about wanting to kill me, I'd probably be more circumspect about assuming it was just business as normal. Particularly if the CEO encouraged the mob and excused them after the fact.

It keeps it a live issue, but it renders the Dems as completely untrustworthy guardians of healthcare.
November 10, 2025 at 3:38 AM
So where does that leave us in GA with Ossoff? Clearly, we’re not a safe state, but he was on the cusp of folding per reports.
November 10, 2025 at 2:24 AM
Well that’s interesting.
November 10, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Responding to the administration‘s ignoring black letter law and court orders by abjectly capitulating should work wonders for our democracy.
November 9, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Unless they have unanimous consent.
November 9, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Yeah, premiums alone are almost equal to my mortgage.
November 9, 2025 at 10:20 PM
I’m in GA, and my family depends upon the ACA. If @ossoff.bsky.social supports folding and gets nothing, we certainly won‘t provide support to his campaign as we have in previous elections.
November 9, 2025 at 10:14 PM
I've already resigned myself to taking a total bath on our ACA coverage. Premiums for our family (3) here in GA look to be somewhere around $2700 per month with a deductible north of $13,000. I still don't want a "deal" that torpedoes the whole thing though.
November 9, 2025 at 8:55 PM
I think I'm pretty pragmatic, but this still feels like capitulation during what is probably pretty close to the point of maximum leverage. We'll know soon enough, I suppose.
November 9, 2025 at 8:52 PM
Yeah, but I comfort myself with the belief that the satraps around him all want to live and it's easy enough to spin up some sort of AI video that convinces him that his orders are being carried out.

Trump’s gonna open the window at the White House on Christmas morning and yell down at the kid pushing the mower to ask what day it is.
November 8, 2025 at 2:28 PM
Reverend Senator, I have zero doubt that you know far better than I that for that answer, you can turn to scripture. Please keep fighting the good fight.
November 8, 2025 at 1:05 AM
You have to wonder if those parties that were in a deep hole in the polls tried to do things to reduce the hole in the following year. If that's the case, it's worth asking what the Trump admin is doing along those lines, because at least for now, it sure seems like they're doubling down.
November 7, 2025 at 11:50 PM
I think the call for him to come to his senses is unrealistic.

Checking to see if “phrenology.ai” is available.
November 6, 2025 at 9:37 PM
If Cornyn thinks nuking ACA premiums is their best move, they really are in Zugzwang.
November 6, 2025 at 7:51 PM
Our daughter with our cat just before we had to say goodbye. I am sorry.
November 6, 2025 at 1:17 AM
I think that Dems - and critically, Dem electeds - believe democracy is under existential threat. Thus, they are willing to endure a great deal more pain in the short term to force a loss on the administration and decrease the longer term risk to our system.

I do know the one that sounds hungover is usually Kavanaugh.
November 5, 2025 at 3:37 PM
Yeah, any margin that he gains from doing those things will, I think, overwhelmed by the backlash against those things.
