If a book isn’t for you, don’t read it.

Barely into ALL THE BLUES IN THE SKY and gutted by some of the prose. Renee Watson and Bahni Turpin are a duo I can get behind forever and ever. #Booksky

So far I have been called racist because I WANT birthright citizenship to be upheld (which it will) and a libtard because I presented facts and evidence against banning trans athletes from sports.
I have yet to have a conversation with a conservative that presents me with FACTS. Just insults.

The end of this book broke me. Powerful. Timely.

This book, ONE NIGHT IN GEORGIA is so worth the listen. Any time, but especially Black History Month when many are seeking out experiences and stories from Black creators.
It’s heartbreaking and highlights the realities of the South, Sundown towns, etc in the late 60s. #Booksky

For the love of all that is good in this world do NOT buy books from Amazon. Cancel your Amazon accounts.
Go to the Library (in person or online ebooks!) and support local bookstores instead. Please #BookSky don’t be ambivalent

Today in US History: On Feb. 3, 1870, the 15th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified, granted black men the right to vote. It was passed by Congress on February 26, 1869. Black Americans were set free by the 13th amendment. The 14th Amendment guaranteed citizenship.
