It's like how getting the door slammed in your face isn't the objective when I'm out canvassing. We can debate how communicative politicians should be on social media, but they're beholden to their constituents, not random internet users.

A quick addendum: Getting blocked by a politician on a small social media site does not make you righteous or superior, it means you've closed off an avenue of communication and you won't effectively get your message out.

This isn't to say foreign interference isn't an issue to take seriously, or that we can't question any narratives presented, or question the actions of a politician, but to take a step back, look around, and try to understand why something is happening as opposed to denying that's it's happening.

My advice as a former Liberal to Trudeau supporters on this platform is to take a breath and think before posting. Is what you're attributing to malice, corruption, and conspiracy actually explained by something more reasonable? Are the polls wrong, or are there perspectives you haven't considered?

In 2011 I thought there was going to be that Act 3 twist and Ignatieff would save Canada from the villainous Stephen but I was wrong. I was wrong because I thought politics was a drama and not the decisions of millions of people dealing with factors far outside of what my 16-year old mind imagined.

All of this is to say: There isn't some grand conspiracy as to why things are happening. Canadian politics isn't a TV show with heroes and villains and there isn't some great Act 3 twist that is going to change everything and defeat the evil villain Pierre Poilievre.
