Tired millennial who's been on the internet since ‘96. Hobby hopper, Apple fanboy, and successful introvert. I’m not funny, but the delusion stays. He/him

If you're #creative you're probably already bored to tears by AI, and you're probably deeply concerned by how it's taking over.

Things that are gonna be increasingly important:

• Behind the scenes updates
• Showing your process
• Authenticity above all else
• Being able to take things offline

I hate winter in Austin, but give me a snowy day in NY and I’m happy. Great kickoff to the Yule season.

Coming off the cozy winter vacation up north and I’m not ready to do the normal thing yet. NY is so beautiful.

Looking at this time last year, it’s wild to see how much I’ve reduced my presence on social media platforms. Some of the retraction was good and permanent, others felt like too much and I wound up missing the connection with friends. Getting almost completely off Google has been a wild improvement

Driving with ADHD is wild.

One minute you’re raging at someone speeding and putting everyone in danger.

Two minutes later you’re vibing to your music and wondering what it was you were angry about just now.

Some rando just poked me in the shoulder blade to get my attention and my brain logged it as a muscle spasm.

Also, don’t poke someone if you’re trying to get their attention. It’s weird. A couple light taps on the shoulder might be okay.

The millennial rollercoaster that is growing up in a time before the internet, riding the unhinged introduction of social media, feeling the wrenching curve of 2008’s fallout, experiencing the highs and lows of political change, and coming around to finding life and community outside the internet 😶

The etymology of ‘turtle’ is interesting as shell.

'Turtle' comes from the French 'tortue,' which in turn comes from the Late Latin 'tartarucha.'

‘Tartarucha’ was short for the phrase ‘bestia tartarucha’ which means "infernal beast" or "beast of the nether regions."

It’s wild how much a depressive episode followed by a transformative vacation that heals childhood trauma followed by getting laid out by a sinus infection can make you feel like a wildly different person in the span of only a few weeks.

I’ll eventually be normal again. Lol

So we raised $10.7m to build a new professional platform oriented around high-trust networked group chats in large part because I think we're better as a species than "six business lessons I learned on my trip to Cancun".

LinkedIn chose creators over collaboration, so we raised $10.7M to build for innovation not attention
We build in fluid networks not silos. We need a platform that believes external collaboration is about more than performative content.
