A historical reconstruction of a 15th century recipe of Menjar blanc de carabasses from Mestre Robert's Libre del Coch. Great stuff from the Esculent Podcast team! esculent.podbean.com/e/libredelco...

Watched this a few nights ago. Loved the debate scenes and the ones where the workers setting up the exhibition casually lounge among the pieces during idle moments. I wasn't so sure about the narration. But still a very powerful film.

Very rarely I get worked up about anything, but this is record is a stone cold 10/10. There's no debate about it. Frankly, giving it a 9.5/10 is completely absurd.

Best movie I have seen in a long time. Dense, smart, beautiful, impressionistic. They really don't make them like this anymore.

Auerbach recommended Benjamin for a position that, unfortunately, never materialized. Here's an alternative timeline: /1
