On Saturday, 100+ lake sturgeon were released into the Flint River as part of a 25-year project to bring the Saginaw Bay Watershed sturgeon population back and sustain it. Mott is happy to support lake sturgeon reintroduction through a grant to @conservationfnd.bsky.social's Great Lakes Office.

4,000+ residents filled the streets of downtown Flint on Saturday during Flint Alley Fest! 65 vendors set up in the alleys, and 16 bands performed across two stages. Flint's McFarlan Villages, formerly Court Street Villages, celebrated its newly renovated senior community. Mott Foundation supported the project, which included upgrades to housing units, community spaces and essential infrastructure designed to improve energy efficiency and enhance accessibility.

Twenty teams pitched their business ideas during the 2025 UM-Flint Young Sharks and Junior Sharks Youth Entrepreneurship Competitions this week. With support from Mott, the program teaches elementary and middle school students about entrepreneurship while also building their skills and confidence.

Monday marked the grand opening of the LiveWell on Harrison building in downtown Flint, now home to the YMCA of Greater Flint, the Crim Fitness Foundation, Hurley Physical Therapy and 50 residential units. Mott supported the construction of this project with a total of $17 million in grant funding.

Youth Service America will celebrate the 37th annual Global Youth Service Day by supporting youth-led service projects across the United States. Mott is pleased to champion YSA’s efforts, and the Foundation building will be illuminated on April 25 in celebration of the day.
