I know all of this tl;dr is just the “eternal recurrence” theory, but I’m explaining it how I thought it up before researching it so it may be more understandable to other people, who knows

you are absolutely making your own decisions, but they’re decisions that a hypothetical omniscient observer would be able to witness being redone over and over again with each interation of the universe.

the thing that triggered you to think about freewill and make some random arm movement to prove to yourself that you have it, was still the same exact trigger a previous iteration experienced, and reacted to the same way, because everything from birth till death in “their” life was the same as yours

humans, and life is still similar to a computer, equations, and decisions, and thoughts will all be the exact same given the same conditions, there’s nothing to change those conditions, while we have “freewill” it’s still the same decisions previously made by the same circumstances before. +

this may sound like “we have no autonomy or freewill” but it does not; everything will always behave as expected if the conditions are the same, if the universe starts the same, the results will always be the same, all the way to the point of earths creation and mankind’s evolution. +

don’t read if you don’t care for some random rants, but lets say the theory that the universe ends then restarts the same way, over and over, then that means we, or more accurately another completely identical version of ourselves has lived before, the same exact life. stay with me+

huge reason I’m looking for it is because most actual gateway tapes have been replaced with random pseudoscience videos that pretend to be the tapes however that tape was the only one I personally could confirm as being real, and actually having a noticeable result
