6. He got so frustrated and embarrassed that he finally let me run the class. I ran some drills, and that was it. Nothing fancy. But I like thinking back on the more wholesome blunders that were made because I, an 18/19 year olde 'girl,' walked in & asked a lot of questions & signed up on the spot.

5. of the instructors knew my rank, so he threw me a, "take over for me!" This did not please a 38 year olde man in the class, because he believes he should be running the class. He had been training for four years; I had been training for ten. So when he started coming at me, I just dodged. A lot.

4. There were funny interactions with the menfolk (I had accidentally joined an all-male studio, whoops!) One time there was an emergency call the instructor had to take, and the proper protocol is the next highest rank takes over. I outranked the instructor. But again, I'm not wearing my belt. All
