Some big news! I’m thrilled THE OTHERNAUTS is coming out next year, my retelling of the quest for the Golden Fleece that now features a sarcastic 11yo oracle, a boy who can metamorphose and a small tone-deaf siren. Can’t wait to introduce you to Phoebe, Perry and Cora.

Piccadilly Press has acquired The Othernauts, a "comedic new twist" on the classic Greek myth of Jason and the Argonauts for middle-grade readers by Clare Pollard, illustrated by Macha Yao 👇 #BookSky

My Notes from memory poetry course, run with @irishwriterscentre.bsky.social has some places available, if you fancy putting words into your spring. We'll think on how we can use what we remember and how, to create new pieces. No poetic experience necessary! irishwriterscentre.ie/courses/note...
Notes on Memory: Poetry with Rishi Dastidar - Irish Writers Centre
In this workshop we will discuss and explore how to take the story in your head and transfer it onto the page in a meaningful way by the writers’ creative material – words.

I’m a Hornsea robin,
perfect in every way

passers-by compliment
me every single day

I used to live in Brid,
but the seagulls
there were nasty

I fled after one nearly
ripped me to shreds
as I was nibbling on
a harbour pasty.

What do I want for Christmas?

A mysterious manor in the Scottish countryside, a vast expanse of land, a library of vintage novels, a collection of the world’s rarest wines, an owl to deliver and retrieve my post, and my own personal pastry chef.

I'm really not that hard to shop for.
