It's so damn hard to pick a favorite Fargo season. 4 and 5 are both great though. I need to go back and rewatch the earlier ones it's been so long.

yeah, that's a big part of it. After I've pulled a shot, I've got a good idea of what to futz with, but I've already got the coffee I need for the day. Give me 10 shots and I'll get that grind and tamp singing together, but I'm not wasting all that coffee.

It's nuclear arms but with essentially no possibility of arms control. As soon as a technique is discovered/published, it's replicable by essentially anyone in their basement.

I mean, I was sort of excited to see Unstoppable Force (Trump) vs Immovable Object (Senators on the filibuster) play out a little longer.

Like, either Trump has the magic touch* still and nukes the filibuster, or (R) Senators learn it's actually not that scary to tell him "no".

I think the deal struck might be the right move for this scenario, where SCOTUS is willing to play ball with plan Starve Them Out.

Because now SNAP is fully funded and off the table as a hostage when we get to do this all over in 3 months.

This doesn't contradict the "vibes" argument. People seem to struggle to differentiate "Trump seems determined to cause a recession", "Trump will cause a recession", and "Trump has caused a recession".

That gets flattened into a single "economy bad" vibe w/o much reference to material conditions.
