This is my first time hearing about Shukufuku no Ceska. The cover art looks gorgeous, I'll have to keep an eye out for volume one.

This seems to be set up as more of a Superman event, so I'm assuming most of the plot armor rests with him. Maybe Bruce loses early & spends the rest of the story working behind the scenes to find another way to stop Darkseid.

You’re absolutely right, moments like these make perfect sense coming from some characters, but not others. It would be fine for Kyle, Jessica, or Jo to reference video games, anime, exc because they’ve always been into that stuff. And I could see John reading Dune back in the day.
