"voting machines" have no place in free and fair elections. Nor has any other of technology in counting of votes.

It not necessary. It's not used in other western democracies. It's is both error prone and enables cheating and irregularities with very few people involved.

Not really—the distinction between a democracy and a democratic republic doesn’t change the point. Most developed democracies (whether parliamentary, republic, or otherwise) have evolved universal healthcare systems. The form of government isn’t the issue; the policy choices are.
