i Don’t want to diminish Chotner’s talent but a big part is the standards of American journalism. Ben Shapiro called the most conservative journalist in the BBC left wing and stormed off because he asked follow up questions. Chomsky behaved in the same manner with a left wing British publication.

It's worth considering the effectiveness of a Boycott, but exceptions for academics would undermine its point and purpose. I admire the few who bravely dissent internally against the Israeli governments' policies to Gaza but isolation of cruel state seems both just and necessary to me.

Also, the Westminster parliament’s prime minister’s question and other debates are typically raucous and every ambitious politician knows they will have to speak well. Australia has a similar combative parliamentary culture.
