Mother (and dog mom), engineer, college instructor. I'm as worried as the rest of you about climate change. I manage the anxiety by building something to generate renewable energy, or electrification of something else.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think that arresting and deporting the mother is a short cut to give Leavitt's brother full custody without have to convince a judge?

Basically, Trump thinks that everyone is a pedophile, it's just that most haven't been caught yet. That says more about him than anyone else.

It would be a crime to reopen the government without getting back healthcare subsidies. That isn't what the people want or expect. The Democrats' support to hold out has never been stronger than after the election. What are these people doing??

Tesla had a choice. Become a visionary car company, or tie themselves tighter to Musk and all the baggage that comes along with him. They picked continuation of their negative trend.

In its usual heavy-handed way, without thinking through the consequences, the British monarchy has created a man with nothing to lose and no path to redemption.
How long until Andrew realizes what he has to sell and tell?

This is very confusing.

It's time. Sign the petition and send Hoekstra packing. Trump is bad enough; this other American toddler is literally adding insult to injury.

I'm betting that when the Blue Jays win tomorrow night, Trump considers that an affront to the US, and increases the tariff on Canada by another 10%. Maybe 15% - a commercial was worth 10% all by itself.
All of Canada will think that it's worth it.
And the rest of the world keeps laughing at him.

Heck, I had aunts that I wasn't related to at all.
This couldn't have been about reminding people that the 9/11 terrorists were Muslim like Mamdani, could it? If you think that will work, it says more about you than it does about Mamdani.
In a bit of a tense moment, one of the La Mega co-hosts presses Mamdani on why he "lied" about his "aunt" having been scared to ride the subway after 9/11 while wearing a hijab.

Mamdani says it was "not a lie" because he refers to his father's cousin as his "aunt."

A TV ad of an old Regan speech was unlikely to influence the Supreme Court case on which tariffs have no basis in law.
What just might? A new 10% tariff increase on Canada based solely on an ad.

Bike lanes! Don't forget the community survey about adding dedicated bike lanes.

"Let's harness our core competencies" is brilliant!
Blue cities should tear up the roads in front of ICE facilities and then start decades of community engagement and input sessions to rebuild them. Let's harness our core competencies.
