US law already prevents financial support for terror. This bill gives an opening to next administration to go after any nonprofit they want. Destroying civil society is a key tactic of autocrats-- we've seen it in Israel, Russia, Hungary, etc.
Republicans will try again this week to pass a bill giving Trump authority to falsely label and punish nonprofits as “terrorist-supporting” without due process.
52 Democrats (listed below) voted for it last time, but some are reconsidering.

Don’t buy into the illusion that Trump has a mandate to trample the rule of law or ignore the Constitution. He does not. Under 1/3 of eligible voters picked Trump. That is no mandate but a narrow victory.
