For so many young people, oracy offers them the language to be part of a joyful, curious intellectual community. It offers a way to be heard, and to hear others in turn. These relationships - to peers, to adults, and to learning - have never mattered more.

Oracy isn’t an island - the question of how it connects with other areas of expertise in a school is crucial. How do Speech and Language Therapists, subject leads, pastoral teams and all the other experts in the school work together to provide a coherent oracy education for every child?

Voices from across the sector discussed excellent oracy education being delivered by so many schools and the barriers that prevent this from being a universal picture. How can government, exam boards and other actors in the space help, not hinder?
