The Highlander con the following year, the MC stood on stage and said "Do not ask about slash. If you don't know what that is, don't ask." The rule was obeyed until one of the actors bounced out on stage and asked why there was no slash about his character 😆

1998. Highlander convention. Someone asked an actor about slash. Some folks were confused. The ones of us who groaned and face-palmed ID'ed each other pretty much instantly. A bunch of us met in the bar afterwards and that's how I met a bunch of awesome people I'm still friends with today 😄
