My best advice for that is a warming pad and gentle massaging of the tender area. Sometimes a warm, cold cycling works for others but just a warming pad works well for me

For mine what worked was PT. It massively improved my sciatica but it depends on the type of pain. If it is joint/nerve/muscle I might be able to give pointers
