God I feel this ~so much~. Soon as I had my own place I was like, "no no, thanksgiving is mine now. No more cardboard."
Yet every year, the perfectly brined turkey comes out 10/10, moist, and delicious, and someone's like, "is this undercooked??"
No it's EDIBLE.
