If you can’t prove somebody didn’t say in 1956 “hey, let’s put a landfill here because it’s a Black community” or a “poor community”… maybe don’t burden that community more.

Everyone registering their “primary dwelling” in VA while living elsewhere to claim that $50k.
🙄 At least treat it like state retirement accounts, you keep what you earned.

We have such an amazing food culture in #RVA and all you want to talk about is Taco Bell?
There’s a damn reason we don’t have more fast food chains in the city and please go away with your unmarked sponsored content.

1. Mature trees everywhere!
These trees will all be bulldozed for the site to be graded, not a hope there will be mature trees left on the site. At all. Not a 🍆 chance.

$90k per house, minus 6% of total for Realtors’ fees. Say $250k average total.
Henrico is putting $15k per house into Realtors’ pockets, $75k into developers’ pockets.
Again, Nelson’s biggest donors are?

What it incentivizes is abandoning old factories.
A factory isn’t shiny any more? Don’t pay for renovations, up stakes and move somewhere they’ll beg to give you tax credits.
Screw the workers and the communities, there are always more.

The East End gets another 1960s bridge, pedestrian deaths, heat and air pollution. For the next 75-100 years.
But think of the cars?

Nope. Replacement in kind.
Nope. Replacement in kind.
It’s a replacement in kind. An exact copy.
Of a desperately unsafe, baking hot, 1960s design that is entirely car-oriented.
Even though all the neighborhoods around it are dependent on foot, bus, and sometimes bike travel. 🤷♀️
