And wait until we see, on the other side of the ledger, higher borrowing costs (from decreased demand for Treasury securities) and decreased revenues (from laxer tax enforcement if not also tax cuts).
Federal spending is *up* under Trump according to the Wall Street Journal. Chaos is not actually the same as cost savings.

Actual budgeting is a kind of actual policy-making and takes real work spread over real time. Running around breaking stuff isn't that.

Trump turning tariffs on and off like a two-year-old with a light switch has already hit our economy hard.

We can't live like this, and businesses can't make serious investment decisions in this kind of environment.

Congress MUST reassert itself over the power to tariff.
