I’m about 70% of the way through it but @drewmagary.bsky.social’s The Hike is currently on sale wherever ebooks are sold and it is very good and uncomfortable! There’s also a crab!

@caseyexplosion.bsky.social Literally just saw this on Steam and thought "Oh, shit that sounds like a Casey Explosion game" and then noticed who recommended it haha!

I’ve been thinking about this for the past few hours on and off and I’d love the Citadel from Mass Effect

Just finished Sarah Wynn-Williams’ Careless People. While it wasn’t revelatory to discover that Facebook was an evil company, Wynn-Williams is a talented writer who was able to spin a gripping tale of her time within. 📚💙

Just finished @bridgetgillard.bsky.social’s Little Bossed Everywhere. A disturbing look inside the cultish workings of MLMs from its very beginnings to present day.

Just finish Vernon Vinge’s Rainbows End and with much of it set at UCSD’s Geisel Library, I decided to look up the building. And how glad I am that I did! Such a beautiful structure, I regret not having visited it when I lived in California.

Just finished Rufi Thorpe’s Margo’s Got Money Troubles after a rec from my wife and it was delightful. Funny and human and flawed lovable characters!

That’s a beautiful porch.

My parents were inspired to get a house with a big porch after seeing Patriot Games!

Last night I finished Kaliane Bradley’s The Ministry of Time and it was great! Deftly balancing charm, curiosity, and suspense, it’s a book that feels destined for a blockbuster film adaptation.

Reading Kaliane Bradley’s The Ministry of Time and, as a former Tumblrer, guffawed when I got to this line. How do we get her off the bad place and over to this site?

We’re so close to being done with this blathering monster

Last night I finished I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman and wow, just truly bleak and haunting and tense throughout. As emotional as reading The Road or watching The Leftovers.
