Hungary, Poland, and the Netherlands are following Trump’s lead in targeting “Antifa.” The coordinated narrative reframes antifascism as terrorism while ignoring evidence that far-right extremists pose the real threat.
How the International Far Right is Getting on Board With Trump’s Antifa Terrorist Designation
Trump’s baseless “Antifa” terrorist designation has sparked a global echo, with Hungary, Poland, and the Netherlands moving to replicate it. The coordinated effort reframes dissent as terrorism—part o...

The Lidl concept is simple: instead of having a zillion brands, just have one (your own), and make it good. Tonight’s dinner was no exception. Cheese stuffed gnocchi with pesto, scallions, and Parmesan. Everything bought at Lidl. It was quick, easy, delicious, and super affordable.

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

I think it's important to note that the guy executing a world historical cover-up of his connection to the worst child rape trafficker of the century is deporting people who have committed no crime and want nothing more than to work hard and pay their taxes.

The most horrifying AI slop of ICE raids you can possibly imagine is wildly viral on Facebook, collectively totaling tens of millions of views from a single account. First spotted by @chadloder.bsky.social

AI-Generated Videos of ICE Raids Are Wildly Viral on Facebook
An account is spamming horrific, dehumanizing videos of immigration enforcement because the Facebook algorithm is rewarding them for it.

I’m told that as a visual artist, I need to be more active on Instagram. I’ve always hated Instagram for the user experience disaster that it is, and this isn’t helping.
Instagram has become a cash machine for neo-Nazis. Influencers glorify Hitler, deny the Holocaust, and sell extremist merchandise to millions. with Meta looking the other way. Hate isn’t just spreading on Instagram —it’s making money.

Instagram’s Antisemitism Economy

Many modern day Tech Guys are not classically trained engineers but smooth talking marketing dudes.

(No reason why they couldn’t also be well-read but it’s a different mindset.)
This is absolutely the case. Tech Guys of previous generations, to the extent that that category can be read back into the 19th and 20th centuries, were shockingly well-read by modern standards
it’s also notable how the techbros of today really don’t read *books* anymore - this was really not the case for the Tech Guys of earlier generations, far as I’ve been able to tell

Again, not a triptych, but using the same palette. Three scenes from a Christmas Day walk on the Goosepond trail near Chester, NY, in 2012 or so.

Tteokbokki is a delightful dish and super easy to make at home. Just get a bag of rice cakes, some fish cakes, gochujang, and you can improvise the rest. I added homemade chicken stock, dashi powder, scallions cilantro, a boiled egg, and a dash of cream to make it “rosé.”

Two miniatures. Even if they’re not triptychs, it’s efficient to use the same palette for multiple paintings. Both of these scenes are from reference photos of a drive through the Poconos on a rainy day last August.

In a rare case of Substack notes usefulness, I just learned that Sarah Kendzior (author of They Knew and a brilliant writer) got bounced from Bluesky. What the hell? new @sarahkendzior.bsky.social

“Any simulation is inherently algorithmic—it must follow programmed rules,” he says. “But since the fundamental level of reality is based on non-algorithmic understanding, the universe cannot be, and could never be, a simulation.”

Same reason why “Artificial General Intelligence” is impossible.

The smartest thing a politician can do in 2026 is to come up with a bold plan for shoring up and EXPANDING public libraries. Call it Project 2050. It's a way to reintroduce the grammar of commoning and the commons to a new generation in a way they can easily grasp. Such low hanging fruit.
