The Venture class with mostly finished "aztecing," the darker colored armor that protects vital systems. It is all drawn in by hand so it's a little tedious. There is also a light layer of grime on the reflection channel. The main engines were also changed a little. #b3d #blender #halcyon

The non-humanoid Lt. Commander got a complete overhaul. He still communicates through bioluminescence but the model and textures are all new. Technical designation would be a Cyclopean Hexapod.

I've been working on this piece for a couple of weeks. It's actually a short animation, but when I uploaded a test draft, which is very dark, youtube's compression totally butchered it. So I am having to rework the background nebula to be more compression friendly.
