These goals are directly supporting existing strategies such as the @fmcs-mollusk.bsky.social's conservation strategy, and major IUCN Species Survival Commission Red List assessment projects for mussels.

12/ The Congress also marks the end of an era, with a new SSC Chair voted in. Thank you to Jon Paul Rodrigues & his Chairs Office team for helping & guiding us over the past... eight?... years & making our jobs so much fun!

5/ Day 2: fewer technical glitches, equal amounts of fun! We hosted a podcast session on the Global Freshwater Fauna Assessment, from a hot sauna pod (which explains my facial expression). Included: a shoutout to #aquaticfungi, freshwater #sponges, plus of course freshwater #molluscs - shell yeah!
