One of my ThanksChristGivingMas cactus plants is in full bloom. Last year I got a second lighter bloom in late winter on this plant, I hope I can this year as well. #flowers

The front of the building looks a lot nicer. Built in 1933, the inside is still beautiful.

TIL there was a record album in 1969 about the New York Mets featuring the Mets players singing, among them Nolan Ryan and Tom Seaver. (Tug McGraw and Yogi Berra I believe. But Nolan Ryan SINGING?!?)

For once, I'm grateful to get the Tom Brady game instead of the Jonathan Vilma game. (Also helpful in understanding the majority of the country didn't see the interview.)

Block it. Block anyone who reposts anything from it unless they are a truthful reporter/political figure, and maybe even block them, too. Ignore its existence. Do not give it any power or reach here.

The unliveable hellscape of Portland from a few minutes ago. Oh, the humanity.

Does anyone know about 300,000 missing children that Trump was talking about in his UN speech? And allegedly 30,000 children have been reunited with their parents? What the hell was he talking about? Is this a lie? (Not getting into the hypocrisy of Trump taking about trafficked children right now.)

Been a Yankees fan since 1976. I hope they never win a World Series again in my lifetime. You don't honor someone who spread hatred and incited violence. How about moments of silence for real victims, like kids murdered in school shootings?

The Vertigo Sampler double album from 1995. (Vertigo/4AD/Beggar's Banquet) Look at those songs!

THAT'S IT! He did do the commercials, he wore the pajamas and laid down on the mattress and the image would dissolve into the pajama guy laying on the word Bemco, like in the ad! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I *knew* I wasn't imagining the whole thing!

I hope you found a good life with someone who stole you out of someone else's laundry after that someone else stole you out of MY laundry, Hoboken Exterminating t-shirt. (No, I have never gotten over the loss even though it's been like 35 years.)

A very important quote for this July 4th.

I planted these in 2022. Finally get to see what they look like. You have to have patience to be a gardner.

It's a lot of work protecting them from deer, rabbits, and squirrels (who love to dig up the bulbs in winter) but it's so worth it when the lilies bloom.

I can't unsee the Samurai Cop wig when I look at her hair/cap combo.

This was purchased just over a year ago as a (much smaller) $4 clearance plant, marked down because the blooms had dropped off. I didn't know anything about it other than the tag saying "Red Asiatic Lily." Yes, it certainly is. #gardening

Did you actually read the study you're citing? Where less than 13% of total Bluesky posts are classified as political? And how some of those political "semantic clusters" include "Astronomy and cosmic observation topics" and "YouTube and video sharing platform discussions"?
