It wasn’t often she found the time to throw a glance out the window during her shifts, but even with the busy afternoon rush at the bar, she couldn’t help herself. The rainy clouds finally parted just as the sun was setting, painting the sky in the most beautiful hues of pink and purple, orange and deep red, perfect for a dose of melancholy intrusive thoughts in her lonely mind. She froze, feeling pressure build behind her eyes as she stared at the natural beauty and wondered if her long-since departed friends spared her a thought at all anymore like she did them, or if they were too busy with their new and exciting lives to ever come back to see her.

He is speechless, lost for an explanation or an excuse, watching Tifa’s face continue to morph into different variations of confused, hurt, disappointed, angry. Denzel stands frozen waiting for a reaction when she starts to pace the bar, shaking her head in disbelief. “What is happening?” she mutters, to herself more than any of them. “Reno, I thought…” She drifts off, and whatever it is she thought, she decides is best left unsaid, to Reno’s silent dismay.
