This is a wormhole I'm definitely willing to entertain. Loved Quentin's dry humor style so much. I think I got a tweet reply once from him about The Car's The Star and that's possibly my greatest achievement as a car journalist to date.

I'm awfully bad at reading stuff (but Neuromancer is on my very short list of "books read more than once") but I do like his takes on Twitter (when there was such a place) and elsewhere. The "No Maps For These Territories" documentary was pure g-o-l-d.

Did some courses on futurology in uni and it turned out to be more of a trend guessing than actual details and innovations, because guessing stuff decades on is reeeaally hard. Flying cars we've had for 20 years anyone?

That would've been great a e s t h e t i c! Maybe even done as a security obfuscation not to use your own phone as analogue mobile phone scanning was all the rage then.

And even parts of Neuromancer do read quite outdatedly but nothing that ruins the thing.

manufacturing is done in Sweden, Belgium and USA in addition to China (not unlike Cupra and BMW etc.).

And Polestar. Offices across from Volvo in Gothenburg, R&D in the UK, manufacturing in China and the US. What are we to do with that?

I'm quite fed up with this whole discussion as a topic (not with you guys), as most Finns view the Swedish car brands as "almost our own" and as such Volvo and Saab as passion topics for many. Equally many want to interject "Volvo is a Chinese brand", even if design is done in Gothenburg and
