I wish my book wasn’t timely, but with an administration parroting Nazi eugenicist rhetoric, it’s more important than ever to seek out and amplify disabled voices. It may surprise you how many disabled artists are out there—and we’re not going anywhere.
I seriously recommend that everyone* read @mondomatt.bsky.social’s THE BACKWARDS HAND right now. It’s very important that we recognize how long disability has been falsely equated to monstrosity, and how horrifying the reality of it has been.
