extremely tired of the argument that vague liberal gestures toward solidarity with trans people (of which the worst one can say is ‘mostly unhelpful’) are at fault for the current virulence of the transphobic project. the reason is targeted propaganda laundered by mainstream media. and lobbying

Comics are a community. I like to think that we take care of each other. Please consider following the link in the post below.

frankly the idea of cartoonists in general getting on any kind of high horse about their art form is so ludicrous to me. you know everybody thinks we're trash right. and like you know what it's okay. we're beautiful trash and we're trash together regardless of how we deliver our garbage art
i have never actually in my personal life met a graphic novelist who considers what they do to be a higher form of art than calvin and hobbes or webcomics or cape comic serials or whatnot. i'm sure they exist, but uh. maybe don't assume the very worst of people without evidence idk

Exit To Eden is an unforgivably shitty movie, but at the very least it graced us with the most affection a title sequence has ever given a character actor.

I don't agree with Michael on everything but here he's right on the money. 90% of the 'liberals are being annoyingly PC' memes are illusionary bullshit invented by Fox News to spin up their viewers.
The "scolding" you always hear about is mostly a fabrication of right-wing propaganda. From prominent feminists to elected Democrats, progressive figures frequently show empathy toward men — as they should!

Men are turning to Tate et al, because Fox is falsely telling them they're under attack.

i'll forever be a fan of horror media where a well-meaning group of absolutely ill-equipped and out-of-their-depth morons faces off with an overwhelming and barely understandable supernatural force of evil and almost immediately gets their shit wrecked.

I'm showing my girlfriend The People Under The Stairs for the first time, and I think this is my favorite example of a uniquely 90's phenomenon: the movie that feels like an FMV game that got bumped up eight notches. It feels wrong that it doesn't have multiple endings.
