Emotional day on the Hill as survivors spoke publicly (some for the first time) about the abuse by Epstein & Maxwell. A large crowd then gathered for a press conference to introduce the Epstein Files Transparency Act. #BelieveSurvivors

Made it safely through the DC hellscape 🙄 to the Smithsonian Renwick Gallery. Great exhibit on state fair crafts including the butter cow, beautiful quilts and crop art portraits. Definitely check it out if you’re in town and make sure to stop for lunch or dinner to help out the restaurants.

I had just attended my first @momsdemand.bsky.social event at the end of 2015. Hearing about the Pulse shooting on this day in 2016 stopped me in my tracks. I knew at that point I had to stick around & work for change. The LGBTQ+ community is disproportionately affected by gun violence. #DisarmHate

I usually protest in DC but I’m traveling today and stumbled upon a protest in Beverly Hills. We stood on the side of Santa Monica Blvd and all the cars were honking or giving us fist pumps. Protests do not have to be large to be meaningful.

I took this photo of the beautiful mural in Cambridge, Maryland at the Harriet Tubman Museum & Educational Center. Nearby you can see the store where she got a head injury while trying to help an enslaved man. It was called her first act of defiance. Worth a visit to learn of her history & courage.
